VISIT THE BIRTHPLACE OF AMERICAN FLY FISHING:
THE CATSKILL RIVERS
- Experience the beautiful southern Catskill Mountains
- Visit the historic landmarks of fly fishing legends
- Take in all the richness of the Catskill Fly Fishing Museum
and best of all...
Fish the storied pools of the Beaverkill, Willowemoc, Neversink and Delaware Rivers
The Painted Trout will have a house on the West Branch of the Delaware in Deposit, New York from May 3 to May 11. Stay for a minimum of 3 nights, or stay the whole week. Lodging, breakfast, pack lunch are included. Guides will be reserved. $200 per night per person.*
Why are we calling it Class Trip? Because there is so much to learn from this region as it relates to the sport we love, because the museum hosts such a vast amount of fly fishing history, and also because the dates give people the opportunity to take instruction at the Wulff Fly Fishing School in Livingston Manor, just minutes away from the museum and situated on the beautiful upper Beaverkill. This is more than just a guided trip, it's an enrichment.
Price does not include guiding (estimated at $450 per day per boat), gratuity, alcohol, NY State Fishing License, meals other than breakfast, and getting there. It is about an 11 - 13 hour drive, depending on how you want to go (the scenic route vs. other). Folks might be able to carpool.
Talk to Lauren about the beauties and pleasures of this region. Above is a photo of a nice brown caught during a sulfur hatch on the Delaware river in June 2016. We'll be there at peak Hendrickson time!
We are limited in number of people who can stay in the house at any one time, so call and reserve your spot! 734-580-2102
